Mahapath - By Gopinath Kaviraj, translated in Hindi by SN Khandelwal.
Whatever dharmas are their in the world, progenitor or originator of all of them is one only. Depending upon time, space and distinction of qualified aspirants, different paths appeared. As per Christian innumerable heavens and hells exist. Buddhists also believe in it. Now we will discuss the differences. Budhdev believe in rebirth. All the countries where Buddhist religion spread, all of them believe in rebirth. Opposite to this, wherever Christian religion spread, they were not able to assimilate this extremely serious essence. An inquiring and understanding mind could not be developed in those people. Hence keeping listeners qualification in mind only that much sermon was given to them which they could understand. Hence due to difference in the qualification of understanding mind, one felt the difference in the sermon essence. The eternal heaven and hell which Christians believe in this is also principle of Buddhists religion too.
Buddhists principle is that attainment of human body in itself is just like heaven and being born in insects etc. is like hell. Today human body is given, but after death we will again get human form, one can not say that with surety. This all is dependent upon our karmas or actions of past. Hence on receiving human body, by following truth, purity, idealist life goals one can think to attain heaven. In human life only one could change one's karmas. He suddenly qualifies to attain heaven. I his life time itself, symptoms of upper movement start being exhibited.
If this could not be experienced, in that state it would have been impossible to say what will happen after death. Due to fruit of the karmas performed, one get into insect world or hell or for a long time one may keeping moving continuously in different wombs. This is all a play of desires. How does this desire get fulfilled? As per tantra path, one gets satiation by tasting the fruit. In this Kali kaal it is not possible to let go of desire just by listening to sermons. Hence by tasting one gets rid of desire but this is done in the presence of a siddh guru. Else with bhog, maya or illusion state becomes more and more stronger. How are Tantrik Gurus? It has been said that at one place a few people were drinking. At that time , a great person or mahatama came there. Seeing those drunkards, mercy dawned in the heart of that great person. He thought it useless to give sermon of leaving drinking to them because he new that this right suggestion will never be acceptable to them. He sat with them and had little drink too. Gradually those people starting drinking liquor. So he also started finishing bottle after bottle of liquor. After drinking so much liquor, no disorganization was observed in that mahatama. He being a great mahatama for him liquor turned into nectar.
People who are more capable, generally people are attracted towards them. All the drunkards on seeing his capacity to drink so much without any effect, they started adoring him and starting addressing as guru ji. This way that great person started going to those people daily. One day he told them, see before drinking liquor you must offer some of it to Earth first. They started following his instruction with all respect. After a few days, that mahatama came back again and said that drinking gives great fruit after offering it to the devi first. Those people started doing same. This way guru slowly made them leave drinking. This is what is known as annihilation of desire by consumption. But this can be done in the company of an adept guru only.
By consumption only, consumption can be checked. In this state presence of guru is necessary. This rule applies in the Vaidik path also. First Karma, then forsaking and in the end knowledge. There is no end to rituals and desires. Hence Vaidik path also has similar provisions, that with the help of certain remedies desires can be removed. Mantra Om Bhu Swaha, Om Bhu Bhuvar Swaha etc. or Bhu etc, heaven where fruits of karmas are experienced, they all get annihilated there, this is a quote of a learned person. Hence along with karm one should have knowledge of annihilation of it too. It is real painful to say, that today such methodology and people teaching them are almost not found.
The cycle of wish, desire and lust keep moving in this creation. During pralaya, self gets established in the creator or paramatma, it is not possible to say or estimate about that state. This word is inconspicuous to both mind and thought. For this state Manu says, प्रसुप्तमिव सर्वतः, and with the help of only 'इव'(exactly), one tries to regenerate it but one just gets to have little inkling only. This can not be properly defined, but still scriptures point out that at that time there was something present. That first of all was in the form of bindu. Because of desire, this bindu became fragmented. First part is Bindu and other par is Naad. Bindu is spark of agni and Naad is its fuel and from this one spark innumerable sparks come out, meaning one element reigns means it becomes many (creation). In the main Bindu, Naad(shakti) remains incomprehensible. This is the pre state of creation. At that time both, Shakti and Shaktimaan are one.
The root of creation is desire. Desire alone works in the form of a seed. What ever is desired that tomorrow or day after or next year or sometime or other will get fulfilled. It can never be decimated. Once a desire done it becomes it takes a strange form joining with that boundless reality. With time that desire starts manifesting. A desire, depending upon the greatness of its strength, will sequentially start manifesting. The desire which is weak, that will take more time to fulfill. Like if some body desired to eat grass, that desire will keep existing till he receives a body which is actually able to eat it. Such a body can be divine body, human or insect. Hence principle is that without taking a physical body, desire can not be fulfilled. ...............Om!
