Experiencer and Experienced (Bhokta Evam Bhogya) Part II

(Translated from Mahapath written by Gopinath Kaviraj, translated in Hindi by SN Khandelwal)

Gharpatya means Grihpati (owner of the dwelling). This was maintained by the woman of the house and hence she was called Dharm Patni (wife who would support in acts of Dharma).

(Dakshinagni - ancestral fire - rituals of exorcism are performed by it, outside in South gate of mandap. It is taken from domestic or consecrated fire.) Ordinarily consumption is never desired.

Those who are worshippers or devotees, taking support of subtle skills following the method mentioned in Ishopnishad, one can become non-consumer while even consuming anything. For them Bhog/consumption is not Upbhog but prasad only. With such consumption, desire to consume is removed. As per scriptures This is the right way of consuming or bhog. As that which is to be consume is nature itself. Its consumer is none else but Puroshottam alone. The natural flow of bhog from the nature or prakriti flows towards Purushottam only. After touching His feet or getting purified by His gaze it ascend upwards or descends downward.

Five senses, after arising in outer world, are continuously flowing through our nerves in upward direction towards Purushottam sitting in the middle of Sahasrar lotus. This way, Brahm Chakra (circle) is continuously going on. One who is established in the Seer state (द्रष्टाभाव), keeps tasting the nectar falling down from Sahasrar in Ajna chakra and are thus filled with gratitude. Till Jeev is not able to enjoy this flow by getting upward facing, he is not able to fathom the secret of this nectar flow. But mostly people are equipped with downward gaze only. So before the natural flow upward reaches the Parmeshwar or Paramurush in Sahasrar, they upbhog it or consume it. This is not Bhog. Due to this stealing attitude (as the all bhog of nature are meant for Parampurush and not jiva), all jeevas are snared and thus they eat or consume impure things only. Consumption of impure is called UPBHOG and not Bhog. IF one leaves aside greed and craving and without attachment keeping his gaze upwards keeping his goal centered on Parampurush, then even without desiring bhog that flow of anand keeps flowing towards him. THIS is known as Compassion and sacred food of the Lord. Consuming it, desire and greed of consumption is annihilated and one taste greatest anand or bliss. This is known as receiving of PRASAD. This is also a part of Agnisom vidya(knowledge).........Om!
