Renderings from 'Gyanganj'-Gopinath Kaviraj ji, translated into Hindi by Vishvanath Mukharjee.
From very ancient times, an extremely mysterious culture is going on. Tibet, which some say is from the word 'Trivishtap", people do have knowledge of its outer grandeur but very few know of its internal knowledge pool. But there is no doubt that from ancient times people consider it as a divine place and which is heavenly. People do not know, not only the inner most secret of Tibet but even outer complete knowledge is also not their about it with general populace. This place has been beyond reach of general public due to its difficult terrain and accessibility, hence less tourists and spiritual seekers came here from outside. Only a few seekers found entry into those realms and whatever little is known about Tibet now is due to those people only. From the time of advent of Budhist dharma, Tibet had strong connection with India.
Atish Deepankar Shreegyan was a famous scholar of India. He on invitation went there and did translation of many texts and wrote a new ones too. His most famous writing was 'Bodhi Path Pradeep'. Indian philosophy 84 Siddhas are often referred to. These Siddhas or adepts are from different times as well as different religious lineages too. Though this state is the ultimate stage of sadhana but it is still referred to as connected to yog path. Achievement of pure knowledge and discrimination, getting free of impure maya and achieving Vigyankal state, is not true achievement of adept state. For this one has to enter shudh adhva state and transcendence of it too. Till one enters in to this state, no yogi can be called a siddha or an adept. These Siddhas were not only Indians there were many Tibetans too. Also the number 84 may not a be a fixed number, quite possible sometime it might be more but still genrally people stuck with 84 count mostly.
Swami Poornanand Paramhamsa went from Dhaka to Tibet and reached Matang Ashram, which is also called Siddh Ashram and stayed there for many years and learned Yog paddhati or system from there. Later he was asked to return and teach the system to people. He came back and established Ajpa Yog philosophy in India. Inspired by him, many people from local areas and foreign countries tried to find that place but were unsuccessful.
Similarly there is another very famous matth by the name of Gyan Matth in Tibet. IT is said that after death of Vikramaditya, three yogis, Siddhpuri, Atmapuri and Gyanpuri also reached that matth. Siddhpure, Atmapuri achieved Samadhi but Gyanpuri developed many super natural powers and the matth was later named after him. From then onwards, its name became Gyan Matth but some people refer to as 'Satya Gyan Ashram' too. This place so secret, that what to say of general people even explorers can not find anything about it. Many Westerners have given information about these places in their documents too, Theosophic society claimed to be connected with Siddhas of that area.
In the end , we do know that Gyan Ganj is such a Matth which exists in Tibet where India Yogi Vishuddhanand Paramhams went, stayed and got initiated. He learned Surya Vigyan from there and developed many super powers which he use to show to his disciples too from time to time. His initiation was done in Rajrajeshwari Matth. Gyanganj is connected with this ashram, it has been said that seven other Matths are connected with it. This place is between Kailash mountain and Manasrovar lake but there is no use to say it as nobody can get any information of the place by this reference. Paramhamsa's gurudev's name is Mahatapa. Other main siddhas there are Bhrigu Ram ji, Neemanand and Gyananand etc. Out of them Shri Shri Bhrigu Ram Dev ji is a great Siddha. There is no fixed place for his stay and he keeps on roaming through shunya marg. The great siddhas of this area, give darshan to their disciples even at their places and from time to time appear to give them initiations too.........Om!
