Neel Saraswati Tantra ~ Kumari Poojan~

           KUMARI POOJAN

    Whatever anushthan a sadhak performs, in the end he takes up Kumari pooja. Our Rishis have talked of Kumari poojan as an utmost important thing. Many shahstras have explained this but below we are trying to explain it as detailed in the 15^th patal of the Neel Saraswati Tantra. One hopes it can be easily understood and actually followed by anyone who reads it.

1.Devi said: Oh Devadev, Mahadev! You are responsible for Creation, Preservation and Destruction. Please do explain to me Kumari poojan.

2-5.Ishwar replied: Oh Devi, listen all about Kumari poojan as without it all jap etc. is useless. Without it all is useless, and with it all is usefull. Hence for success in pooja one should do pooja of a kumari sitting on mahaasan in the area of Bhiarav. This pooja is extremely rare in creation. By pooja of only a kumari, the pooja of  the whole Srishti takes place. Adya Shakti only appears in the form of Kumari.

6-15.In the cosmic creation Adya Shakti Maya itself resides in the form of Uma. The names of various different Kumaris are as follows:

One year in age :Sandhya ; 2 Years in age: Saraswati; 3 years in age: Tridhamoorti; 4 years in  age: Kalika; 5 years in age: Subhaga; 6 years in age: Uma; 7 years in age: Malini; 8 years in age: Kunjika; 9 years in age: Samvarsha; 10 years in age: Aprajita; 11 years in age: Rudrani; 12 years in age: Bhairavi; 13 years in age: Mahalaxmi; 14 years in age: Peethnayika; 15 years in age: Kshetraja; 16 years in age: Tarini. Thus till ritu darshan one can do their pooja.

One should do pooja as per the waning and waxing of the moon from pratipada (1st day of the paksh) to last day of the paksh. Oh Deveshi, One should observe special cleanliness during special poojas. Oh Devi, one should do kumari pooja on 9^th day. If with great reverence one does pooja of the Kumari with 16 things one becomes the owner of all kinds of wealth. On the same day out of the group of Kulvidya devtas or devis,  one single devta of Kulbhairavo pooja should be performed. All the names of kumaris which have been given above, put 'Om' in front of them when doing their pooja. For kumari poojan, ‘Om Hrim Shrim Hum Hum” is the beej mantra. This beej only should be put in front and followed by the name of Kumari for her poojan, this is the rule.

16-28. Aim Hrim Shrim Krom Hesouh Kulkumarike Hridyaya namah, Aim Hrim Vaim Haim Shrim Hrim Aim Shirse swaha, Om Hrim shrim Aim Shikhaye Vakhat, Aim Kulvagishwari Kavchaya Hum, Hrim Astraya Phat, Om Sidhjayaya Poorv vaktraya namah, Om Aim Jayaya Uttarvaktraya namah, Aim Hrim Shrim Kunjike Paschimvaktraya namah, Kalike dakshin Vaktraya namah. Perform the Shadang Nayas as above. Offer achmani jal with AIM beej, offer Padya with HRIM beej. Oh Deveshi, while giving Arghaya an intelligent sadhak should chant SHRIM beej. Oh Devshi! Offer chandan with HUM beej and flowers with HOOM beeh while dhoop should be offered with HESOH beej. When one chants AIM beej it starts affecting the enemies, when HRIM beej is chanted then qualities improve, by chanting SHRIM beej one gets wealth, when HESOH beej is chanted then all the enemies are annihilated. If Bhairav beej (vam) is used to do Kumaris poojan then one gets the power to fly in air. Kumari always gives Moksha and she is the actual form of Yogini!

Kumaris get satiated with jap and pooja and then everyone, from father, Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra, Isha, Sadashiv, up to Kalagni Shiv and Gauri, all get satisfied. Even 14 Bhuvnas, Sapt Dweep (seven islands), all the oceans get satisfied. After pooja one should offer food to the Kumaris as per rule. Padya, Arghya,Dhoop, Kumkum,Chandan should be offered to them. After doing her pooja with great bhav one should offer all the pooja uphaar to her. At the start, in the middle, and at the end of the pooja one should circumambulate the kumaris three times each.

After that one should offer Gold, Silver and Mukta (pearl) in the form of Dakshina to them. One should get a Kumari married by his own money. If one does this even BRAHM HATYA curse is also removed. Gauhataya, Strihatya, Matrihatya, Pitrihatya etc. great sins are removed.

29-30.Hence everywhere, always and again & again one should perform marriage of Kumaris. One who arranges such a marriage, he gets all bhogas, all kinds of wealth and finally moksha. Such a shadhak after death rises to the realm of Rudra Kumaris, he gets the fruit of millions of Ashwamedh yajna. He enjoys king ship for as many kalpa as are the particles of sand on the sea shore.   

One who marries anyone's daughter gets the fruit of it for the duration time of one full kalp. As long as the devtas stay in the heavens, up till that time he enjoys all the comforts of heaven. His ill luck is completely eradicated and good luck prevails. One gets respect in the meeting places of kings, one enjoys kingdoms and good health. Oh Parvati, it's a certain TRUTH that when great fear arises, one should perform Kumari pooja and that fear will be removed. Hence during great problem this pooja must be performed. So, one should always perform this pooja.

As per the sixteenth chapter, one should not find faults with women, but one should always praise them for their qualities. It is said even if she has performed millions of wrong doings, still one should not hit her even with a flower. Even if she is impure she should always be considered pure. In Shradh, marriage and alms giving her participation should always be observed. One should always perform her pooja with perfume, flowers, clothes, different kinds of eatables and water, only then one should proceed to start any work. Or else all the works of Durga upasaks becomes futile!  If Kul Shakti gets sad, Adya Shakti gets sad. They curse the sadhaks. Mother, Father, Guru, even Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh can be sidelined, but not a woman! By wrong behavious towards kaminis all the effort goes to waste. One may listen to words against ones own self, or one may leave ones prana, but one should never do any untoward thing to any female . They should always be poojit. By showing great respect towards women, a sadhak gets the best possible fruit of his sadhana and in the end gets Moksha, Divine Emancipation.
