Is it possible that muni’s, the knowers of the tattva and who are considered
to be form of the truth itself can give different opinion on the same subject?

Answer:

Tattva of Dharma is an extremely deep mystery. It is beyond mind. Without annihilation of mind it is not possible to enter this secret cave. Munis explain the scriptures with the help of mind. Whosoever will try to explain the scripture or try to see it in the light of his mind, it will be seen like that by him. Every muni has different nature. Hence variation in their opinions is possible because the munis are only following their mind. One realizes the tattva only after annihilation of the mind but even after realization it is not possible to explain it. Because to explain we need words, in the background of which there is mind only. Mind is the cause of all this. In the ancient times yogis use to experience the truth in Vitark Samadhi and then explain the thing to people in general. This explanation was always just an alternative. Realization is achieved, where there is no mind and that state is nirvikalp. But tattva is explained in words which requires mind. Thus this knowledge is alternative not real, while realization is Nirvikalp or without any alternative. Vedas, Smritis all are in words, hence they are still alternatives though they in themselves are unique. Munis - themselves are with mind, hence they too are not real but alternatives. Hence, if one wants to have sakshatkaar (realization) of dharma then there is no other way but to enter the cave of the heart and this is not possible for ordinary people. For them, there is only one alternative i.e. to follow the path shown by the great men or realized souls.

This was the conversation between Gopinath Kaviraj ji who posed the question and Yogatrayananadnath ji who gave the most fitting reply. Yogatrayanandnath ji wrote ARYA SHASTRA PRADEEP, which is in small-small four volumes, but the depth of the matter written in it is enough to drown any one. One feels proud and blessed to have a copy of same, as in the modern world of today such literature is disappearing fast……………
