 यादृशी भावना यस्य सिद्धिर्भवति तादृशी (Yadrishi Bhavana Yasya, Siddhir-bhavati Tadrishi).

Whatsoever is one's desire, one achieves according to that only through one's sadhana or action. Here desire may be called as sankalp or resolve. The fruit of Sadhana or Kriya is known as Siddhi. Bhavana is not kriya. Not achieving the ultimate as ultimate is because of bhavana as it is mixed with desire or maligned or impure knowledge. So as ones bhavana is fruit is as per that state only. In other words, we can say that achievement is fruit of Kriya or action or Sadhana but what kind of fruit we will achieve is dependent upon Bhavana.

Nothing can be achieved with action bereft of strong emotions (भावहीनक्रिया) or strong emotions without any action (क्रियाहीनभाव). If one attains emotionless action, then that in-fact is one's savbhav. Fruit of that is limitless or nothing, its same. The fruit of that is achievement of pure self, which may be termed as limitless on one side but can also be stated as nothing too (as one was already that internally till the veils of ignorance were not removed). This alone is known as work without any desire (निष्काम कर्म और स्वभाव कर्म).

Normally this is not possible because even if we feel desireless, desire still persists at the base of action. Even if one performs kriya as per the instructions of one's guru with a sense of duty (कर्तव्य) only, still it can not be termed without any emotion(भवनाहीन), because at the base of it bhavana of one's guru persists. Disciple may not know but the fruit is bound to be affected by that bhavana of guru. For example, if we make a blind man stand some where and ask him to proceed in a particular direction towards an object, then on moving in that direction he will reach that object. Though he did not know the object and its direction but simply followed the instruction, in the same manner as were given to disciple by his guru.

Emotion without any activity, this is not an ordinary state. Without kriya attainment is not possible. The distance or obstruction between practitioner (साधक) and goal (साध्य) is removed by kriya or action alone. For achievement of the self Kriya is essential. For achievement of special goal, instead of kriya, emotion is essential. By attainment of the normal fruit or self, it is possible to attain special goal through it. This is known as knowledge of the action or kriya. Development of special goal in the normal goal is effect of emotion. Pure kriya and achievement of normal goal is one and same thing. Calling it as a fruti or not is one and same thing. This is perpetual. As the kriya is continuous similarly the fruit is also perpetual and eternal. This is called knowledge and is known as chaitanya or consciousness of self.
