A - Places for Pooja:
As per Gandharv Tantra different places are used for achieving different goals in poojan. They are explained as below:
Cremation Ground: By doing special poojan on Shav, Sadhak goes to the realm of various spirits and brings them under his control and comes back to enjoy his life.
Own House: By performing poojan at one’s own house one amasses great fortune and enjoys all the comforts in ones life.
Cremation ground on the bank of a river: Yakshas are controlled. One shines like another Kamdev(god of beauty). He becomes a king and roams on the earth in the company of kings and horses(he performs many ashvamedh yajnas).
Some sacred place: If one performs jap or poojan near places like Kaashi/Banaras, Kamroop Peeth etc. and under peepal tree, he earns respect of whole of the society and also becomes a king in Yamlok. He is always victorious and is established in Sidh places or bhoomis.
Gardens: If one does poojan of in a blooming garden then its good for achieving nearness to
ones ISHT.
In the root of a tree: By putting ones hand on ones forehead below a tree and performing poojan there, makes one beautiful like a Gandharv. He enjoysdancing and singing with Gandharvs and Kinners. By the grace of Shodashi he roams around in the realm of Gandharavs.
On the periphery of Naaglok(realm of snakes): By doing poojan and mantra-jap in caves in jungles or mountains one gets control over various naags(snakes) and enjoys all the comforts available in the realm of Naags.
Mahapeeth: By doing jap looking at the sun one becomes charged with great energy or effulgence. He gains control over all the wild animals, humans and is set free of the greatest disease of the world i.e. cycle of life and death.
Inside great sacred rivers: One gets great wealth and roams around with kings.He enjoys along with Brahmrishis also.
In a temple: He lives like a devta on earth.
In a Shiv temple(like Banaras or Ujjain): He goes to the realm of Shiv and served by servants of Lord Shiv.
Area of Lord Vishnu(Mathura, Vrindavan and Ayodhya): He gets param sidhi and all Vaishnas come under his control.
B-Different Fires:
As per MATSYA Puran, All the devtas of fire came forth from Brahma and were his manas
children in Swayambhu manvantar. From Svaha, he brought forth three sons, namely, Pavak, Paavmaan and Shuchi.
Pavak: Electricity produced from water. Also called Samuhya Agni. Was used in havan at the end of a yajna. Their poojan done along with Varun.
Paavmaan: Electricity produced from churning. Also seen in the form of Parjanya.
Shuchi: It is connected with Sun.
Pavak’s son was Sahraksh; Paavmaan’s son was Kavyavaha and Shuchi’s son was Havyavaha.
Sahraksh is the fire for asuras, Kavyavaha is fire for ancestors, Havyvaha is the fire for Devtas.
Brahma-->Pavak-->Brahmaudan agni(also called Bharat)-->Vishwanar Agni( for hundred years kept on supporting havya)-->Ahvahniya( which is the egoist devtas of Brahmins).
Ahvahniya fire divided into 16 parts and established in various rivers, namely, Kaveri1, Krishvena2, Narmada3, Yamuna4, Godavari5,Vitasta(Jhelam)6, Chandrabhaga7, Eravati8, Vipasha9, Kosi(Kaushiki)10, Shatdru(Satluj)11, Saryu12, Manasvani13, Ahladini14, Sita15, Pavna16. All the children of these sixteen rivers were called DHISHNU or DHISHMAAN. Barhish bore Havyavaha and itself came from Dhishanya. Pracheta is called Prashansniya agni or Vishvdeva. Brahmins offered them Soma while invoking. They present themselves at the time of Yajna and roam around in their own areas.
Pavak, Paavnmaan, Asammrijya(Shamitr); Shatdhama( in sudha jyoti) is Raudra aishwarya; Ajikpaad is upasniya fire, also called Shalamukh; Ahirbudhanya(Anirdeshiya agni) is established in the south most corner of the vedi during yajna.
All the above were the children of Vasav agni and were propitiated by Brahmins.
Hridya agni-->Manyumaan( also called Jatharagni and stays inside the stomach to digest our food)-->Samvartak agni(ferocious and stays inside the mouth of the ocean and drinks up water continuously)-->Sahraksh( remains inside the dwellings of humans and gives fulfills all kinds of desires-->Kavyadi agni eats up the dead. All these are children of PAVAK.......Om!
