From Land of Siddhas, Gyanganj.

Explanation or Account of Gyanganj (from Sidh-Bhoomi-Gyanganj written by Gopi Nath Kaviraj and translated in Hindi by SN Khandelwal).

Karm is for decimation of kaal of time. Time is the cause of old age and death. Yogis are continuously working on transcending time. This is called Viracharya, a path for braves. The great entity (from which whole creation came) is like a vast ocean which does not become evident unless a wave(तरङ्ग) takes form in its still surface. Hence in the non evident state from of that entity remains secret and in its background the whole creation is present. When grace appears then that whole creations appears in its totality.

This is an immense ocean of experience. During the play of the power of annihilation, in that great entity, no wave formation can take place. The moment Urmi(उर्मि) or wave arise due to the effect of power of grace, force of annihilation disappears. This wave is vibrational. The jivas who are touched by it, changes start happening in their lives and bundle of timeless Sanskars(संस्कार) carried. This change infact establishes the jeeva in that ultimate entity(also known as Brahm). This movement is the wave of that ocean of realization and this is the awakening of Mahachit shakti/ power. When this Chit shakti arises in a jeev it removes the ignorance from its roots. This shakti arises by dint of Nisha(निशा)/night Sadhana(साधना)/ practice of Gyanganj. When in the state of grace this power touches the jeeva  then it removes the eye of option meaning duality. This power first of all eats up the entity of Time or Kaal. Kaal or time is the cause of illusion of options/ duality. Hence it is also called as Kaal Sankarshini shakti or power. This eating up of kaal or time happens gradually and not at once or in a moment. Because of this only Asht-Kshan and Trikal practices have been prescribed in Gyanganj. Now the purification of objects of valid real knowledge happens. The real meaning of it is removal of the idea that 'I am'. This idea of 'I am' is there from times immemorial. By this purification, the outer world is not experienced as separate but starts exhibiting in the form of self realization. This is called as the First Awakening of Chit Shakti. During this, the desire of worldly objects gets removed on its own. This is known as the state of Tirth Swami in Gyanganj. Now knowledge of the subject is experienced in oneness by the primordial power. This is known as the food of the Veer or courageous practitioners. This is known as Turiya state. This state once achieved is never lost. This is known as Prasad (प्रसाद) of Mahashakti or great power. Highest of the Veer's is known as Trityabhokta or enjoyer of all the three. This is the real worship of the lord. State of Tirth Swami is such that he experiences worship of lord in performance of all his karmas or actions. His each action is that.

After this arising of satiation is imminent. With this interiorization takes place. All the senses gets fully satisfied with divine prasad. Till senses are not satisfied, they remain outward bound. But in the state of Tirth Swami after receiving the Veerbhog or prasad, the discontentment is removed for ever. Now senses attach to the entity of Chidakash form Mahabhairav and thus merge into it. The doer merges into the form of real knowledge. Now, exhalation process stops and only inhalation keeps going on taking support of the inner air present in the body. This is known as the removal of pran kriya or working of pran. Tirth Swami gets bestowed with this state of Paramhamsa through progression or sequentially. This is the representation of a special state of Gyanganj. In this state, the process of exhalation stops in all the 72,000 nerves or Nadis and a state of divine equanimity(समभाव) is attained. This is known as Spiritual Shiv Ratri or Night of Shiva. The great importance of whole night vigil during Shiv ratri is eulogized in  Gyanganj. During Shiv ratri, a sadhak keeps awake whole night. This keeping whole night awake state means realization of the self(अत्मानुसन्धान).

This is a state of testing only, though being not different from complete state, still its not a separate state from it i.e. complete state. One can still fall from it, hence one should continue to work on self realization. From this Paramhamsa state arises which is filled with unveiled effulgence of parasamvit or primordial power, else fall is imminent. This Shiv ratri is known as Anaakhya Dasha. When it develops till unveiled effulgence then 'Bhasa' state lights up.

There are many levels from Anakhya to Bhasa. First the logical knowledge aspect is gets removed then one enters the state of true knowledge seeking and later the true knowledge arises. This is called state of Param Shiv. While moving upwards, state of Aditya, Rudra and Bhairav arises in Paramhamsa. Mahakaal state arises when one moves from Rudra state to Bhairav state and with this contraction of time takes place. The moment, contraction of time completes, great power of creation of whole cosmos descends. This is the primordial power. It has two states of Krish and Poorn. As in the circle of time we have Krishna Paks (wanning moon period) and Shukla Paksh (waxing moon period), in the same manner we have Krish here. Only one Amakala is kept established while all other kalas are removed. In complete state all Kalas are established. This is known as the full development of the Mahashakti. When this happen, Paramhamsa is given the title of Jagadguru and as per the rules of Gyanganj and he now fully engages himself in the service towards well-being of the whole universe...................Om!   Shaktanand.
